Exploring CSVs with Outerbase

So maybe you aren't a database expert, that's ok, or maybe you just have a few CSVs lying around and you're struggling to navigate them, either way we've got you covered. Earlier this year, Outerbase released CSV support. Meaning what used to be tedious formulas and messy file management is now a manageable database. With Outerbase you can upload and store CSV files directly, making data analysis straightforward.

Uploading your CSV
To start you can either create a table in your existing database or if you don’t have a database you can create a new database, which will get uploaded to one of our managed SQLite instances. Either way you simply drag and drop your CSVs in and we’ll start uploading them. Free users can upload up to 1MB and if you upgrade you can upload files up to 5MB that could be up to 50,000 records, and if you need more just reach out!

Querying your CSV Now that your CSV is uploaded to your database you can easily query it using SQL or if you don’t know SQL you can simply ask Outerbase’s AI to write the query for you! From there you’ll be able to easily navigate your data and start generating insights from it.

Cross Joins and Saved Queries

So in the same way you uploaded your previous data you can upload additional CSVs. This enables you to do cross table data joins. Making it easier to find connections and insights that would be difficult to see otherwise. Outerbase also allows you to save your queries for future use, streamlining repetitive tasks, and helping you keep track of important metrics.

CSV Data Visualization

Outerbase data visualization empowers you and your team to easily spot trends in the data, track anomalies, and create beautiful and powerful dashboards from your data. You can use these dashboards to easily monitor your data moving forward, and even embed them into your own platform and presentations.

Continuous Data Updates

Future uploads to your CSV files will append to the existing data. This means you don't have to worry about merging new data manually. Outerbase handles it for you, keeping your datasets up to date.

Conclusion

Data exploration doesn't have to be hard, and you don't have to go it alone. Use Outerbase to supercharge your CSVs and quickly become a data expert with our AI powered suite of tooling including, cross table querying, saved queries, data visualization and dashboarding. You'll never want to look at a regular CSV again! Try Outerbase today or reach out if you need more information.
