At Outerbase our mission is to simplify access to your data, no matter where it is stored. So it only makes sense to kick off our launch week with more database integrations, partnerships and a brand new to integrate into Outerbase.
ClickHouse & Mongo Support
We already connect to some of the world’s most popular databases including Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, and Amazon Redshift. We have been getting a lot of requests for two databases in particular. So due to popular demand, I'm excited to share that we now also support MongoDB and ClickHouse! This means you can now manage the world's leading document database and data warehouse with Outerbase. These integrations are in public beta, and are open to everyone starting today!
While we are really excited about all of the core database integrations into Outerbase, I might be even more excited about this next announcement. Last week we let it slip that we partnered with Turso to provide a better developer experience on top of your LibSQL databases, well today we are announcing two more partnerships.
Neon Serverless Postgres
First off we’ve partnered with Neon, the serverless Postgres database. We started working together on this partnership a little over a month ago. I honestly don’t remember who reached out first, we were impressed with their Postgres platform capabilities and they were with our database management features. Together we are a perfect match making their already stellar developer experience even more amazing. Starting today you can connect your Neon account to Outerbase, and pull your databases and their branches in instantly.
Neon and Outerbase go together like peanut butter & jelly. We love their innovative branching workflows, Outerbase sits right on top of each branch, enabling you to easily make updates that you can then push back into your main database. We are so excited for this partnership and this is just the beginning of what we have planned.
DigitalOcean Managed Databases
The other partnership announcement is none other than DigitalOcean, we have actually been in the DigitalOcean marketplace for a little while now but we’ve kept it under wraps as we have been observing the integration and optimizing the experience, making sure we can correctly support DigitalOcean’s massive dev community before opening the proverbial floodgates. Well today I am thrilled to finally announce that Outerbase can easily sit on top of your DigitalOcean MySQL, Postgres, and now MongoDB database.
That’s not all though… Do you have a database tool that you use often and would like an easy way to manage your data? Or better yet, maybe you’re a cloud provider with your users clamoring at you to make their database experience more seamless. If either of those sound familiar you’re going to love this next one.
Zero Auth
Introducing the Outerbase Zero Auth flow, now you can open up Outerbase directly from your database cloud panel without having to create an account. You simply call our Zero Auth API call and instantly bring your database directly into Outerbase. This temporary experience allows you to seamlessly integrate into Outerbase, and provides our best-in-class experience in the most frictionless way possible.
If you want to create an account (we think that you will) you can turn your temporary account into your very own Outerbase account, that way you can keep all of your saved queries, dashboards, and data definitions.
For our beloved database providers, this can be completely white-labeled. Your users won’t even realize they have left your platform and it will be a seamless experience to manage their data. You’ve done all the hard work on providing them a managed database, let us help you provide the best possible developer experience on top of it.
What Now?
We are amazed at the rapid pace the database ecosystem has changed in the recent years, and we are so excited to be along for the journey, making all of these innovative tools more accessible. Are there any databases you’d like us to add or any partnerships you’d love to see explored? Please reach out!
